Staying In
Watch Fallout
This is one the whole family will love – especially if you like The Last of Us and/or you parent a video game-addicted teen. Prime Video’s Fallout may arrive wrapped in nuclear dread and retro-futurist oddity, but beneath the radiation and sci-fi sits something far more winning: a sharp, character-led drama laced with jet-black humour and unexpected heart. Based on the fan-favourite video game series, it follows sheltered vault dweller Lucy (Ella Purnell) as she steps out of her underground shelter and into a fractured, morally complicated America on a mission to save her abducted father Hank (Kyle MacLachlan), en route meeting a squire named Maximus (Aaron Moten) and the immortal ghoul bounty hunter Cooper (The White Lotus’ Walton Goggins). Blending an off-kilter adventure with compelling characters, Fallout is surprisingly easy to be gripped by – even if you’ve never picked up a controller. And with season 2 launching on Prime Video tomorrow (17 Dec), it’s high time to gather the family for a cosy binge-watch.
Going Out
Book The Bushcamp Experience
From the A-list’s favourite Cotswolds hangout The Bull (where David Beckham recently celebrated his knighthood) to Notting Hill’s buzzy newbie The Fat Badger, Public House Group is behind some of the UK’s hottest pubs. Its venues have become known for serving exceptional farm-to-fork food, as well as attracting a string of stars – but the group’s latest launch is perhaps its most exclusive yet. Enter The Bushcamp, a wilderness experience where the team will set up a remote dining space wherever you fancy and cook a feast using ingredients sourced from the group’s own Market Garden at Bruern Farm. Think starters of freshly shucked oysters (served on ice from the boot of a vintage Land Rover), pork pies and brown crab toast ahead of beef rib and scallops grilled over the open fire, paired with sides of hispi cabbage and grilled leeks – plus hearty apple pie for dessert. The cherry on the cake? Your very own field bar, complete with a Bloody Mary station, English fizz and beers poured straight from the keg. Stay tuned, too, for details of The Bushcamp’s pop-up hotel, Summer Camp, which will launch soon. thebushcamp.co.uk
Property Of The Day
Don’t draw on your walls – unless you’re one of the hottest young artists around. Emily Powell has spent the last 10 years transforming her home into a walk-through art exhibit, covering every nook and cranny in her whimsical hand-painted designs. On top of the home, future owners will be treated to its 65 artworks and 20 items of painted furniture. Don’t fear future chips – Powell has pledged to return every 10 years to touch up the art.

Little Luxury
Hooked on Sol de Janeiro’s cult bodycare products? The brand has launched a new duo: the Rosa Charmosa Dewy Cream (£48), designed to leave skin silky-smooth, and the deliciously sunny-scented Cheirosa Hair & Body Perfume Mist (24).
Competition Time
Win a deluxe Christmas hamper worth over £1,200, complete with a three-course meal for two at The Trafalgar in Chelsea, comedy tickets, drinks, candles and more.
Psssst…
Did you know that the five golden rings in festive banger The Twelve Days Of Christmas don’t actually have anything to do with jewellery? Many believe the ‘rings’ in question refer to ring-necked pheasants, to keep the song’s flow of bird-themed gifts.
Whatever You Do, Don’t
Forget your pre-bed hangover cures this party season. After a night out, nutritionist Kiran Jones suggests drinking a large glass of coconut water (a natural source of electrolytes) – extra brownie points if you pop a vitamin B and magnesium supplement too, which will help boost your energy and brain function the following day, as well as reduce headaches.
