Staying In
Watch Imperfect Women
In 2019, when Handmaid’s Tale star Elisabeth Moss was on her way to Hawaii a book in the airport caught her eye. Intrigued by the title, Imperfect Women, she texted her producing partner and by the time she was abroad Moss was optioning the crime drama by Araminta Hall for TV. Seven years and one pandemic later, and the psychological thriller is finally hitting the small screen. Starring Moss, alongside Kerry Washington and Kate Mara, the women play three best friends whose lives are shattered when one of them is found murdered. As the investigation unfolds, so does the truth about how even the closest relationships may not be what they seem. Switching between the three women’s perspectives throughout the eight-part series, this promises to be a twisty-turny deep dive into the world of female friendships. Two episodes premiere on Apple TV today, followed by one a week.
