 Listen to Ethically Questionable

Hunting for a new favourite podcast for your commute? We are loving Jamila Brown’s newly launched Ethically Questionable, which explores whether the good life and sustainability can co-exist. The former head of sustainability and social impact at Soho House, Brown has since founded international impact agency Light/Work – so she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. But this isn’t a stiff, stuffy listen. Instead, Brown brings a down-to-earth energy to those questions that niggle at the back of our minds when we head out on an exciting holiday, invest in a new outfit or dine on a fancy dinner: can you live a happy, fulfilling life without damaging the planet? Each episode, she guides an Agony Aunt style conversation, prompted by the worries of culture shapers and industry innovators like author and podcaster Candice Brathwaite, journalist Olivia Petter and futurist Amelia Kallman. New episodes every Tuesday.

Visit London’s Most Exclusive Pilates Studio

Reformer pilates has blown up in the capital over the past couple of years, with sleek new studios popping up all over town. Pilates in the Clouds, though, was ahead of the curve, opened in 2014 by LA-born instructor Lauran Masaoka. The Notting Hill pilates studio has long been known as London’s most exclusive, with a by-appointment-only policy and hundreds-strong waiting list – plus a long list of celebrity fans. But now, us mere mortals can have a go on the Instagram-famous Cadillac machines thanks to the launch of a brand-new studio, tucked away on the fourth floor of Harvey Nichols (now dedicated to all things wellness). The space is beautiful, taking the pilates aesthetic to new heights with Dior-branded equipment, fresh flowers, large mirrors and plenty of natural light flooding in. With just six spots, nabbing a space still won’t be easy – and at £59 for a group class, it’s certainly not cheap. But you can guarantee world-class teaching, and the Cadillac equipment allows for moves you’ll likely have never tried before including the spread eagle you’ve seen all over your Instagram feed. harveynichols.com
