Tune In To Brand New Bridgerton

Nearly two years after the last instalment dropped on Netflix, everyone’s favourite pastel-toned period drama is back for a fourth season – and this time, the ton’s attention sits firmly on Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and his love match Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). Emerging onto the marriage mart and attending his family’s famed masquerade ball, the second-eldest Bridgerton bachelor spots a mysterious Lady in Silver. Meet Sophie: determined, captivating, resourceful – and set to steal the man’s heart. With Sophie secretly a maid, fans can expect a twist on the classic Cinderella story, and we’re told Bridgerton season 4 will take more of a peek into the inner workings of Mayfair’s high-class households. ‘You remember being told those stories as a child – the magic and the romance of them,’ our leading man teases. ‘It’s really exciting to have that weaved into the world that we know of Bridgerton… It’s such a great story, but it’s also, I hope, really relatable.’ Find out what to expect from the upcoming season here.

Going Out

Have Afternoon Tea At Cliveden

The Bridgerton crew would certainly approve of the elegant new afternoon tea being served at Cliveden House, which is inspired by the hotel’s royal connections. Introduced to tie in with the centenary of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s birth, the offering includes a mix of sweet and savoury dishes linked to key historic moments. Balmoral Game Pie, for instance, is an ode to the Queen’s fondness for the meat pies served at her Scottish homes, while Prince Philip’s Beef Yorkshire Pudding is a nod to the late Prince Philip’s penchant for a Sunday roast. On the sweet treats side, there’s a traditional Battenberg cake – first created in 1884 to mark the marriage of Princess Victoria of Hesse and Prince Louis of Battenberg – plus King Charles’s Garden Berry Tart, inspired by the organic fruit gardens of the King’s Gloucestershire home. All this can be paired with champagne from Laurent-Perrier, the first champagne house to be granted a Royal Warrant by King Charles III. Top tip: while you’re there be sure to check out the listed outdoor pool, the very spot where the scandalous Profumo affair began. From £68pp, clivedenhouse.co.uk

Property Of The Day

When it comes to taking recommendations on subjects of luxury and style, who better to consult than Ralph Lauren? It’s fair to say that the designer is a big fan of this New York apartment block. He’s already lived here for four decades. And when he moved in 2022, he only transferred a few flights up… to another apartment, in that very same building. Spanning the entire ninth floor, this Lauren-approved home offers stunning views of Central Park.

Whatever You Do, Don’t

Make any hasty big decisions on Sunday, when the February full moon (the Snow moon) will rise. According to astrologers, our emotions can be amplified during this time so it’s best to focus on reflection and contemplation rather than doing anything rash.
