Staying In

See The V&A’s New Schiaparelli Exhibition

Did you miss the opening of the V&A’s latest fashion exhibition over the weekend? (And if you did, don’t worry – there’s plenty of time to catch it.) The first UK exhibition dedicated to the life and work of legendary designer Elsa Schiaparelli, Schiaparelli: Fashion Becomes Art tells the story of the Parisian fashion house from its beginnings in 1927 all the way to its current cult status under the creative direction of Daniel Roseberry. Be sure not to miss the lobster dress, created in collaboration with surrealist artist Salvador Dalí, the trompe l'oeil lung necklace worn by Bella Hadid, the Shocking perfume bottle modelled after actress Mae West, or Ariana Grande’s ruby red Oscars gown – as well as plenty of other highlights, which the exhibition’s curators have listed for us here. And if you’re in need of somewhere to stay or weren’t able to nab tickets for the date you wanted, then treat yourself to a stay at The Egerton House Hotel, which is offering guests complimentary tickets to all the big exhibitions at the V&A (no advance booking needed). Until 1 November 2026

This year, consider making some small but impactful changes: from sprouting your own spring onions and creating a ‘use it up’ shelf to making the most of your local library, have a look through our list of 13 simple ways to reduce your waste at home and give a few a go.
