Watch Ted Lasso Season 4

Ted Lasso returns for its fourth season on Apple TV today, introducing a bold new chapter: a women’s football team at AFC Richmond. The beloved comedy drama – a cultural phenomenon since its 2020 debut – expands its world with a fresh ensemble cast, including new assistant coach Tanya Reynolds and a team made up on Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, plus Welsh actor Rex Hayes in their breakout screen role as Irish footballer Siobhan. ‘I’ve been a fan of the series since it first came out so to now be a part of it is very special,’ Rex tells C&TH ahead of the series’ launch. The cast benefited from ‘football bootcamp’ ahead of filming, and on set, costume was everything. ‘Once you put the kit on, it feels very real. That’s the luxury of this particular role: once I put the boots on, it was just like I was playing a real game of football,’ Rex says. Episode one is streaming now on Apple TV.

Property Of The Day

Set within a restored Victorian dairy – dating back to 1860 – this historic building has been reimaged by developer Black Treacles into an eight-apartment residence. With architecture from Frost Architects and interior architecture and design by Echlin, the property resists the obvious warehouse aesthetic, instead introducing warm, tactile materials to the space.

Little Luxury

Nothing screams summer like the bright orange hue of a big Aperol Spritz. But how to make the perfect cocktail? According to Aperol, you’ll need to mix three parts of prosecco with two parts of Aperol and one part of soda water, plus ice and a slice of orange. Alternatively, save yourself the trouble and try one of the new ready-to-drink Aperol Spritz cans launched earlier this summer. Not an Aperol fan? Try its fruity sister, the Sarti Spritz. 1l of Aperol, £18, waitrose.com

Psssst…

Noticed everyone on your social feeds seems to be travelling to China right now? You’re not wrong: experts say the destination is on the up, with searches for Shanghai surging by 88 percent year-on-year. This is in large part due to China’s new visa-free entry scheme, introduced in February 2026 to attract more UK passport holders (but there are other reasons too, outlined here).

Whatever You Do, Don’t

Think you’re failing if you’re not hitting 10,000 steps a day. A major new review published in the Lancet Public Health found the health benefits of walking peak at around 7,000 steps per day, challenging the 10k mantra so often drilled into our minds (which was actually concocted as part of a marketing campaign for a pedometer in Japan). We debunk more health myths here.
