Festivities start here
Dear Reader,
How’s your Christmas decorating going? Mine is almost there – the tree’s up and I’ve put holly in individual glass bottles along the main table interspersed with tea lights. Hannah from Minnow and Wolf (minnowandwolf.com) kindly made a garland for the fireplace with natural greenery, pine cones and dried clementines. I dropped into interior designer Beata Heuman’s new studio in Hammersmith and her tree is decorated entirely with bows. Mine meanwhile is laden with every bauble I own, but inspired by Beata, I topped it off with a bow. If you are looking for last minute gifts, books are always a pleasure to receive. BBC Interior Design Masters’ winner Banjo Beale's Wild Isle Style is full of resourceful and sustainable design ideas or for a snoop into the homes of the rich and famous, Star Style by LA-based Martyn Lawrence Bullard (listen to his House Guest podcast).
I’ll be reviewing these two and more on Times Radio tonight at 9pm (Ed Vaizey’s show).
Have a wonderful Christmas and thanks for your company.
Can’t wait to see what lies ahead for 2024.
