Rosie Speight, Co-Founder of Equi London

  • Favourite British brand? Medik8. Its science backed products are effective and trustworthy, and its phenomenal success has helped strengthen the UK’s position as a leading innovator in the beauty and wellness space. It is a huge inspiration to me.

  • Hero? Helen Brocklebank, CEO of Walpole, the British Institute of Luxury. Helen works tirelessly to promote and protect the sector, lobbying government and creating brilliant networks. As a Walpole Brand Of Tomorrow, knowing she has our back makes her my hero.

  • Weekend? At home in London. I live centrally and when we have the chance to make the most of what’s on our door step and enjoy the city like tourists, it’s always magical. Recently, we spent a Saturday ice skating at Somerset House, then walked across Waterloo Bridge for an easy dinner on the Southbank and a few drinks at a cosy Westminster pub.

  • Meal? Bubble and squeak. Is there anything more British than a left-over roast dinner? Soul warming food.

  • Shop? It has to be Harrods. I have so many happy childhood memories in this store, I’m inspired by how it is forever evolving and adapting. We’ve worked with it successfully for eight years and it is a joy to partner with. It was such a proud moment to see Equi on its shelves.

  • Undiscovered gem? Rachel Vosper, a chandler in Belgravia. This is a working candle studio where you can see her craftsmanship firsthand. Her scents are beautifully unique, and she offers the most amazing ‘refill' service which can turn anything from your unused crystal bowl to antique jar into a luxury candle. I have her scents in every room in my house.

  • Band? Take That – always and forever.

  • Car? Range Rover. Tall, fast and reliable – qualities I appreciate.

  • Book? Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson. We launched Equi when my first child was only weeks old, so the next few years were (and still are) full-on to say the least. Her books are always a beautiful moment of calm and I truly believe the world is a better place with Julia Donaldson in it.
