Anabel Kindersley, CEO and Co-Owner of Neal’s Yard Remedies

  • Favourite British brand? Can I say Neal's Yard Remedies? We are a quintessentially British brand, making our organic health and beauty products in our iconic blue glass in the heart of the Dorset countryside.

  • Hero? King Charles III, who has been championing biodiversity for decades – long before it was a topic.

  • Weekend? A morning stroll down Portobello Road where I live, an afternoon walk with our dachshunds round Kensington Gardens, a movie at the Electric, and a cosy dinner at Strakers.

  • Meal? Cooking roast chicken for my family on Sunday, always organic, with steamed kale, from our Riverford box (if it’s in season!) and our own olive oil that we make in Ibiza.

  • Idiosyncrasy? Tea and sympathy. The moment things go wrong, put the kettle on!

  • Shop? Neal’s Yard Dairy. Incredible cheeses from all across the British isles. And no, we don’t own it! But we are practically cousins – we all started at the same time many moons ago in Neal’s Yard.

  • Undiscovered gem? The café at Books for Cooks at the back of the best cookbook shop, owned by my brother and sister in-law.

  • Band? Radiohead. ‘High and Dry’ is still one of my favourite songs nearly 30 years on.

  • Car?  Land Rover Defender. We bought our Landy in Ibiza over 20 years ago. We love it.
