Interiors Newsletter - February

Dear Reader,
This month it’s clean sheets with our hit of top bedding brands, the latest TikTok trend, and what needs attention in the garden.
We’re also focusing on wardrobes. Do you drool over dressing rooms where everything has its place? Imagine it... Individual boxes for handbags, belt-hangers, tilted shelving for showing off shoes, wardrobes that light up as you open them… I’m salivating as I type. My highlight of the Beckham’s Netflix doc was David's military-style shirt-hanging, and his irritation that ’someone’ had moved one out of sync (in my view, totally acceptable). Or Queer Eye Tan France’s shoe room, which has a glorious swing seat, so he can sit and ponder whether it’s a sneakers, brogue or cowboy boots day.
We’ll be discussing personalising a dressing room, storage ideas and more at wardrobe specialist Neatsmith on 15 March. I’ll be chatting to owner Philipp Nagel over a glass of Gusbourne English sparkling wine along with interior designer Charlotte Elizabeth and fashion supremo Anna Mason. Tickets are free and we’ve love to see you there.
(And can I just say: a wardrobe is a sacred space and I’d never fiddle with your shirts, David…)

Let’s Take It To The Bedroom…
A well-designed bedroom can completely transform your life (or – at the minimum – it’ll transform your quality of sleep, which is almost the same thing). We asked Charlotte Elizabeth Evans (of eponymous interior design company) to share her ten top tips on creating the perfect bedroom. Plus, feeling like your bedding could use an overhaul? These are our nine favourite cosy brands for bedtimes.
Come join us at London Design Week 2024! We’re chatting with bespoke wardrobe brand Neatsmith about maximising space at home with beautiful installations designed to streamline your life. Expect nuggets of wisdom from interiors experts – but if that’s not temptation enough to join us, perhaps the Gusbourne English sparkling wine and goody bags will compel you. Find out more here.
Let’s get intimate with Tan France: come peek inside the home of the most stylish member of the Fab Five… The design style, in a word? ‘Maximalist’ – and be sure to check out his walk-in wardrobe, the dreamiest addition to any bedroom.
Have you heard of ‘Bookshelf Wealth’? Surprisingly this interiors trend from TikTok isn’t really about having perfect shelves: it’s about the money can’t buy chic of intellectual, lived-in homes. And is this trend even ‘new’ – or have the Zoomers once again plonked a name onto a known phenomenon? Olivia Emily explores.
