June Interiors Newsletter
Dear Reader,
Creativity seems to go into overdrive in the summer – so many mouth-watering ideas. At the Milan Furniture Fair I fell in love with Carlo Colombo’s Lobster chair for Elie Saab Maison, meticulously crafted steel interspersed with buttery leather.
It would sit perfectly in Katharine Pooley’s tennis-themed garden scheme for WOW!House (until 4 July at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour). Katharine kindly chatted to me for the House Guest podcast about how the room came together as well as her life in design, her chicken coop and lots more.
And it’s summer, so florals are everywhere – on rugs, upholstery and walls. There are some particularly lovely flower-strewn sofas. Pair with floral wallpaper for a maximalist vibe or use as the one pop of pattern against a dark blue or chocolate painted interior. Delicious.
