Literary Spotlight With The White Company
Closing night (21 September) belongs to The Women’s Prize in partnership with The White Company – both celebrating their 30th anniversaries. This special event, Women’s Words: From Page to Stage, will be a glittering literary salon at Cadogan Hall. Expect readings of extraordinary writing by women from an all-star cast: Emily Beecham, Emily Berrington, Cariad Lloyd, Sheila Atim MBE, Dame Sheila Hancock, Sir Lenny Henry, Kate Mosse CBE and June Sarpong OBE, among them. Proceeds go to the Women’s Prize Trust. Tickets here.
Poetry Takes The Royal Court
On 20 September, poetry curator Allie Esiri hosts a stellar night at the Royal Court Theatre with David Morrissey and Lesley Sharp, performing poems from her bestselling 365 Poems for Life. The Times has called her events ‘a tremendous reminder that poetry cuts to the heart of things’. Tickets here.
A Celebration of British Film & Television
British film can’t be beaten and on 20 September in the afternoon, film critic Anna Smith hosts an unmissable chat with Sadie Frost, Twiggy and composer Dr Nitin Sawhney CBE, sharing stories from fashion, culture and screen. More star names to be announced. Tickets here.
