Dear Reader,

This week, I’ve mostly been dreaming about being wrapped in a linen robe, a cooling sea breeze, and the gentle scent of eucalyptus in the air. No, not another fantasy about quitting London – just the result of working on our brilliant Best Spas of Europe Guide. And goodness, the continent is serving up some heavenly retreats this year. From Alpine hideaways and  Balearic sanctuaries to two new arrivals that really should be on your destination list, these spas do more than just pamper – they recalibrate. Highly recommended if your nervous system feels a little fried right now.

Closer to home, we’ve been exploring everything from the curious world of quantum farming (yes, really), a first look at Hyall, a new hotel on the ever-desirable Cotswolds scene and the five restaurant openings you’ll want on your radar this month. And is this the summer of the Great British blockbuster? We certainly hope so – after all, we’ve got a new wave of homegrown cinema that’s ready for its close-up.
