What's On 2 March

Dear Reader,

When did you really last look deeply into someone’s eyes for more than just a few seconds? That was what Luuk Melisse, founder of Sanctum, made a group of farmers, influencers, tech entrepreneurs, journalists and business leaders do at the fantastic Landed conference last week at the Barbican. Conceived by Founders Forum and Arizona Muse, we were in the room to foster and accelerate action around food, farming and fashion solutions that work in harmony with nature – and don’t keep trashing our planet. But the genius of sitting deep in difficult and challenging subjects is to break it up – and get us out of our heads and into our hearts. We had to turn to our neighbour and look them dead in the eye without smirking, trying to make them laugh or squirming with embarrassment, but just to really see them. It’s an incredibly powerful way to connect on a level that goes beyond the head and deep into the soul. I made a friend for life in two minutes. Imagine that on a global scale – how much we could accomplish? Try it for yourself.

Have a great week.
