What's On 20 April

Dear Reader,

It’s my last chance to gobble chocolate (it is Easter, after all) before I start my three-month Roar Fitness programme, so I’m going to take full advantage before abstinence kicks in – and it’s all protein, protein, protein. I’m nervous (very nervous) about whether I can stick to something quite so gruelling, but recently a Swiss doctor said to me, ‘When you hit your fifties, you have a choice.’ She was letting me firmly know that my lifestyle decisions around drinking, eating, resting and exercising would significantly impact my healthspan trajectory from now on in (of course, it always has done, but bouncing back was easier). Post-50, things get harder. And it starts next Wednesday. Wish me luck.

Have a great week.

Is A Cotswolds' Real Housewives-Style Show On Its Way?

Now wouldn’t that be juicy? The Cotswolds is ripe for this. Can you imagine the dinner party chat; the school gate drop offs; the battles over the last yoga mat at Bamford spa and the choosing of the weekly shop at Daylesford? I’m all in.

Ubuntu: The Design Philosophy We All Need

Forget Scandi chic and Hygge cosiness, we’re all embracing Ubuntu, the concept by which a home should be a place for community, compassion and co-operation, where we can prioritise togetherness rather than individualism. Sounds like just what the design doctor ordered.
