What's On 6 April

Dear Reader,

While the world got seemingly madder and madder, I went to a Ceilidh. And it was the best night out I’ve had in ages. Held monthly in the wonderful Cecil Sharp House, home to the English Folk Dance and Song Society, in Regent’s Park, the broadest collection of people –  young, old, some single, many in tartan, most in jeans, some even a wee bit drunk (in a non-annoying way) – gathered in the large hall for an evening of wonderful Scottish reeling. No one cared how you looked or whether you had two left feet; you could partner with anyone and the drinks were good value. We laughed, we stomped, we sweated, we accidentally stepped on a few toes. London, you constantly amaze me with your wonderful goings-on. So, when everyone else is losing their heads, I’ll meet you at the Ceilidh.

Have a great week.

WHAT’S ON MY MIND THIS WEEK

We’ve Launched The Collector

And, boy, it's good-looking. Dedicated to our obsession with collecting things, which is inbuilt in us, apparently, according to Shirley M. Mueller, The Collector is about much more than investing, it's about fuelling a passion. Buy it here.

Loving The Mooch

Call me weird, but I can’t get enough of Anthony Scaramucci. The foul-mouthed former Trump communications director turned podcaster is one of the best voices to listen to about his former boss. This interview with Matt Forde will have you howling and shrieking in equal measure.

The Rise Of Solo Travel

I’m all in for this trend, and have been travelling on my own since being a late teen. For me it’s a chance to have complete me-time – and mostly it’s when I have my best ideas. Each will find their own reason – and it seems more and more of us are doing so.
